Josette Stock
joined the agency in 1998 as a Partner.
Stock received
a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Manhattan College
in 1990 and a Degree in Construction Management from
the New York University School of Continuing Education
in 1996.
Stock started
her professional career with Turner Construction Company
in New York City as a Field Accountant in 1990, then
joined the Internal Audit team in the Turner Corporation
in 1992 and traveled to 28 of the Turner offices throughout
the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
She was promoted
to Senior Auditor within six months.
Stock was
involved in training Arthur Anderson when they were
hired to run the Internal Audit department.
Stock then
rejoined the Construction company in 1994 as a Cost
Engineer for three years, responsible for the budgeting
and scheduling for projects such as the Jewish History
Museum in downtown Manhattan, IS #5 Public School in
Queens, and the Arthur Ashe Tennis Stadium in Queens.
In 1997,
Stock worked as an Engineer for the Architectural trades
at 55 Water Street on a renovation for McGraw-Hill Publishing.
Throughout
her career Stock interacted with many different types
of people in many diversified environments, ranging
from jobsite trailers to corporate offices.
This enabled
her to have an open mind and insight when helping applicants
make career choices or discussing different options
with clients.
In addition
to her excellent communications skills; her previous
knowledge of Accounting procedures, Construction Management
concepts and terminology more than qualifies her to
specialize in the placement of Construction personnel.
